Oil Price Check - Jan 05, 2009
During the heating season, the state Office of Energy Resources conducts heating oil price surveys. During the last twenty-six years, our pricing system has resulted in savings of between 15-30 cents per gallon compared to the average retail price charged by full-service dealers.

Note that our price difference is greatest in the months that you use the most oil.
PP&L prices have fallen to levels not seen since May of 2004. The PP&L price is $1.40 or so cheaper than this point last year while the survey average is only $1 per gallon less. Hence PP&L savings are at historic highs compared the narrow savings we saw last year when prices continued to subbornly rise.
